Legal Basis: The processing of this data is based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. My legitimate interest is the technically error-free presentation and optimization of this website.

Automatically processed technical data is used solely to ensure proper operation, security, and performance of the website. Such data is retained only as long as necessary for technical and security purposes by the hosting provider.

If you contact me via email, your message and the information you provide will be used to process and respond to your inquiry (Legal Basis: Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR or Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). Emails are stored in my mailbox as part of regular correspondence. You may request deletion of your personal data at any time, provided no statutory retention obligations apply.


4. Hosting & Data Security

This website is hosted via Cloudflare Pages and delivered through Cloudflare’s content delivery network (CDN). To protect your data during transmission, this website uses SSL/TLS encryption.

Cloudflare processes technical connection data such as IP addresses to ensure secure and reliable delivery. Appropriate technical and organizational measures are taken by the provider to protect data against loss or unauthorized access.


5. International Data Transfers

Services from Cloudflare, Inc. and Google LLC (Gmail) are used. Both companies are based in the USA. Data transfers to the USA are based on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, under which both providers are certified.

Under the GDPR, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

7. Third-Party Services

Cloudflare Web Analytics: This website uses a privacy-friendly and cookieless analytics service. It collects aggregated statistical data (e.g., page views and browser types) to understand general website usage. No personal profiles are created.

Email Routing: Email communication is routed via Cloudflare Email Routing to a Gmail mailbox. When you send an email, your message and metadata are processed by these providers for delivery and storage.


9. VG Wort Counting Pixel (METIS)

This website uses counting pixels provided by VG Wort (Verwertungsgesellschaft WORT, Munich, Germany) as part of the METIS program to measure access to texts in order to determine the likelihood of their being copied.

The counting pixel is integrated into individual pages and enables anonymous measurement of access numbers. When a page containing such a pixel is accessed, a connection is established to servers of VG Wort. During this process, technical information such as the IP address may be processed in order to enable the counting procedure.

According to VG Wort, the collected data is processed solely for the purpose of determining remuneration claims for authors and publishers and is not used to create personal user profiles.
